In 2018, Baker Hughes was purchased by GE Oil & Gas and rebranded all of their collateral (incl. case studies, sales data sheets, catalogs, brochures, sales presentations, and so on).
In early 2020, the two companies once again split, and Baker Hughes did a complete corporate rebrand. This is one of several hundred documents my team helped Baker Hughes move to the new brand guidelines. Others can be found on the Baker Hughes website.
This project was so successful that the Senior Marketing Leader referred my team to two other Baker Hughes divisions in 2021 for similar, though smaller, rebranding projects.
What I worked on:
- Worked with Baker Hughes Senior Marketing Leader to determine priority order for rebranding of documents
- Learned Baker Hughes style guide, which was based on the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) style guide
- Advised client on edits needed to comply with their style guide
- Assigned project administrator to download old files and upload rebranded files for client review
- Maintained spreadsheet to keep track of where each document was in the process at any given time
- Assigned resources to work on batches of documents
- Performed quality edit on each document before it was sent to the client for review
- Managed scheduling and deadlines through project completion
- Held weekly status meetings with the client
